Holy moly this is a good one. Low carb delicious. Keto friendly and OMG it’s dairy free! There are just certain things that must be incorporated into my life in order to maintain my 65 lb. weight loss results. In the mean time, here is the amazing real food – good fat – gluten free – Keto Diet friendly – simple AF Fat Burning Basil Pesto Sauce recipe. This will keep you satiated and away from that cookie jar every time. This is also such a fantastic, low carb, Keto friendly way to include ALL the flavor with your chicken or seafood dishes!
- 2 Large Bunches Organic Basil (2 containers or probably 4 bunches if they’re the smaller ones!)
- 1 cup Organic Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Organic Pine Nuts (lightly toasted)
- 1 tbsp. Organic Garlic Powder OR 1-2 cloves fresh Organic Garlic
- 1-2 tsp. Sea Salt
- Vitamix or other trusty blender!
1. Clean basil!
2. Add Olive Oil to blender
3. Add Pine Nuts
4. Add Sea Salt + Garlic … (Note: tastes may vary for amount of both of these. Feel free to of course add more!)
5. Pulse – blend to begin with…
6. Then blend to desired consistency.
7. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before using so the flavors can marinate!
