Super Simple Carnivore Egg Coffee
Super Simple Carnivore Egg Coffee… that’s actually hardly any coffee!
Coffee on Carnivore?!? Controversial, I know. Here’s the thing. Two of my top goals for my midlife weight loss clients are sustainability and results.
Now, if you’re struggling with anxiety, energy crashes, low mood, insomnia, depression, significant leaky gut, or any type of related symptom, I would definitely recommend eliminating coffee and/ or caffeine for a period of time. Quite frankly, some need to ditch it permanently.
If you’re symptoms are minor, and you’re struggling with your weight loss diet as it is, then I do believe there is a place for things like coffee, done the right way, that can help keep you on track!
There are multiple ways you can do this for both the Carnivore Diet and the Keto Diet. The main goal should always be to tailor what you’re doing for your individual weight loss and fat loss needs!
Simple Carnivore Egg Coffee
~ 14-16 oz hot water
~ Unsalted butter – 2 tbsp
~ Equip chocolate protein – 1 scoop @Equip Foods
~ 1 whole pastured egg or 1-2 yolks
~ Mold Free, Organic Coffee of choice… 2-4 tbsp.
~ MCT Oil
~ 40,000 Volts – 1 tbsp.
Add hot water to blender… then butter. Blend until melted. Then add protein, brain octane, coffee, 40k and egg or yolks. Then blend again for 3ish minutes. I blend this long to cook the egg white slightly. Not as concerned if I’m only using the yolk.
Simple Protein-Fat Coffee
~ 14-16 oz hot water
~ Unsalted butter – 2 tbsp
~ Equip Chocolate Protein – 1 scoop
~ Equip Unflavored Protein – 1 scoop
~ Mold Free, Organic Coffee of choice… 2-4 tbsp. (optional)
~ 40,000 Volts – 1 tbsp.
~ 1 packet LMNT Chocolate Electrolytes
Add hot water to blender… then butter. Blend until melted. Then add protein, coffee, electrolytes. Then blend again for 1-2 minutes.
Here are some Carnivore options… of course they’re Keto too depending on desired Macros. Replace water with bone broth; use unflavored or no protein powder, heavy cream or more butter instead of Brain Octane oil. Omit coffee.
Ceylon cinnamon is a great option if you use spices. **if omitting chocolate protein powder, use electrolytes. Sea salt works too.
The good news is YOU get to decide what works for you… not the carnivore police or anyone else. Always remember that!!
